About Us

Petscribers was founded by two veterinary surgeons, Angela and Emma, who share a deep passion for animal welfare. In 2024, they joined forces with Victor, bringing Petscribers to life. Together, they bring 25 years of veterinary industry knowledge, 20 years of technical expertise, and 10 years of start-up experience.

Meet Our Team

Dr Angela Jones, veterinary surgeon, co founder of Petscribers

Dr Angela Jones BVSc Cert AVP (EM) MRCVS

Angela graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in Veterinary Science in 2009 and has since specialised in equine practice. She is an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner and an elected member of the British Equine Veterinary Association. Angela frequently contributes to Horse & Hound and has previously developed digital content for a veterinary start-up.

Outside of her veterinary work, Angela enjoys exploring the Cotswolds with her young family and their dog, George.

Dr Emma Pemberthy, veterinary surgeon, co-founder of Petscribers

Dr Emma Pemberthy MA (Cantab) BVM BVS MRCVS

Emma graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge, with a degree in Natural Sciences, before excelling in veterinary medicine at Nottingham, where she finished top of her class. After more than nine years as a practising vet, Emma left to co-found Petscribers.

She shares her life with her husband, two young sons, a geriatric ragdoll cat, and a crazy flock of ten ducks.

Victor Parchment, Chief Technical Officer of Petscribers

Victor Parchment

Victor holds advanced degrees in Artificial Intelligence and the Philosophy of Computing from the University of Toronto and Cambridge, including a PhD focused on automation in clinical diagnosis. With over 20 years of experience as a full-stack programmer, he has spent the last decade leading technical teams in start-ups across the US and UK.

Victor is currently collaborating with his two-year-old daughter on her mission to acquire a pet cat. Their strategy? Leave the windows open and hope a feral kitten wanders in
